Tiny Doors ATL
Every city has its quirks. Atlanta sure has its own. As you make your way to the Atlanta’s Beltline Trail which is like 2 miles of Eastside Trail, you’d be greeted with massive murals and some of the most spectacular views of the city. But, the standout feature has to be these tiny little doors that are speckled randomly throughout this area. The Tiny Doors ATL project was run by Karen Anderson — an Atlanta artist — with the aim to generate curiosity in people and coax them in to creating their own stories behind these doors. Though easily overlooked, those who happen to spot one of these doors shall leave the place wondering about the doors and maybe, just maybe, weave their own stories around it. Get your flight ticket booking done quickly and fly to Atlanta to give your curious mind a good doze of imagination.
Junkman's Daughter
Pam Majors, a junkman’s daughter, started this eccentric shop where she kept all her parents’ collection for sale. To add to the already amazing collection, she added up her own and that gained the store the much deserved popularity in no time. Seeing the growth and acceptance of her quirky business, she moved the store in 1994 to its present location in the Little 5 Points area of the city. Just a glance at the store from the outside — which is adorned with a distinctive mural — is enough to tell you what awaits inside. The collection is every bit quirky and worth buying. Also, you will always be greeted with cute kittens roaming inside the store. However, photography is strictly prohibited inside the store.
Isn’t Atlanta absolutely quirky enough to be on your bucket list? It truly is! So the next time you plan a vacation, instead of booking a cheap flight to Charlotte or Nashville, make a move to Atlanta and have the time of your life.
