Understand air conditioner standards

Since the decree of 29 August 2008, the Qualiclimafroid organization issues capacity certificates. Thus, professionals who install and control air conditioning systems must hold this certificate attesting that they have received training and are competent.

The energy label of air conditioning systems

As before any purchase of appliances, you will look at the labels concerning energy standards and criteria, in order to find the most reliable, efficient and economical device possible.

The energy label was born following the European directive 2002/31 / CE, which came into effect in 2004, according to which manufacturers note the level of electrical consumption of their products on domestic air conditioners. You can find the references of the device, the type of model and the manufacturer. Then come the colored arrows, noting the quality of consumption from A to G, giving information on the consumption, efficiency and energy used by Aircon servicing Singapore. 

The label indicates the annual consumption in cooling mode, the cooling capacity, and in heating mode ... Finally, you will find indications on the  sound level of good or poor quality.

 Certification of air conditioners

We can find on the labels of the devices concerned,  two coefficients , very important to quantify the capabilities of the device. The EER  tells you the quality of the device as to the comparison between what it consumes and the refrigeration power produced. This unit of measurement, to be correct once in operation, must be higher than 3.2.

In the same way, the COP  indicates the efficiency of the heat input given by the device. Make the right choice, preferring systems with this indicator greater than  3.6 .Finally, Eurovent, NF or Promotelec are labels and certifications of your air conditioner.

A mandatory inspection for any air conditioning

The decree of March 2010 makes mandatory, every five years, the inspection of any air conditioning unit. It is carried out at least  once every five years unless you have just bought your device, in which case a check must be carried out before the end of the calendar year.
