by Suresh Nanda The Ananta Udaipur

Rajasthan is the state of ultimate of royal treatment and behaviour. It is a state which has always been and always will be at the top of the list of “Best holiday destinations in India”. No matter what, Rajasthan has always stood tall in its famous quote “Padharo Mhare Des”. For years, this beautiful state, which is mainly covered with desert, is one of the most hospitable states of India.

The cities spread out in Rajasthan, which have always been in the lists of the tourists, are Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Pushkar etc. Out of all these, Udaipur is the city which has never failed to mesmerize any tourist at just one single glance. Udaipur proudly carries its nickname, that is, “the city of lakes”. The architectures of the city overlooking the numerous beautiful lakes give a dream-like vision to the city. The most famous of all the lakes in Udaipur is the Pichola Lake. This lake is situated at the heart of the city. The view becomes breathless, especially at night, with lights coming from the structures, reflecting at the quivering ripples of the water. One of the main attractions of the city is constructed at the boundaries of the Pichola Lake, which is the City Palace. This huge edifice of granite and marble is the epitome of the grandeur of Rajasthan.

With all the lakes, forts and palace in the city, a tourist may feel complete by staying at a luxury hotel in Udaipur. Udaipur, with its royal nature, has a lot of luxury hotels to offer to the tourists coming to Udaipur. They provide hospitality of top-class and swear to spoil the guests with impeccable services and lavish rooms. Such hotels are pretty much successful in imbibing the guests with a feeling of belonging to the royal families themselves.

Udaipur seems to be a city of stories. It seems that the city is continuously telling tales of the valour of the Mewars and of the Rajputs through the walls and boulders of the forts and palaces. Udaipur offers the tourists to travel by ropeways and experience the glistening waters of the lakes of the city from where they would look the prettiest, from the top. Apart from the lakes, the city is also adorned with some really beautiful temples. One temple which all the tourists find pretty interesting is the Eklignji Temple. It was built in dedication to Lord Shiva. The four-face idol of Eklingji made up of black marble is one of the two striking things of the temple. The other one is the Shivalinga, encircle by Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesh, and Lord Kartikeya.

Accommodation in Udaipur is the most sorted thing that one should worry about seeing the city. A person should simply come over and indulge in the air, water and the vibe of the city.
