Transforming the status of the Dubai property Scene

by Cheryl Robert Financial Analyst

Dubai is one of the seven emirates that make up the country United Arab Emirates. Dubai has always awed people from around the world. Known for its architectural magnificence, grandiose lifestyle, sun kissed beaches under the clear blue sky and the list is endless. This emirate has been on a constant rise, both in terms of economy as well as population. The ever flourishing oil industry paved way for its architectural magnificence from an old port for fishing to one of the most exotic locations in the world. Along with its architectural developments, Dubai has also been a home to many of the expats from across the world. Seeing a rise in the number of expats pouring in the country, the number of apartments for sale in Dubai has of course shot up. Many residents from countries other than United Arab Emirates also purchase real estate spaces in the city as an investment.

As the city attracts more and more companies to set up their offices in Dubai, the expat population in the city is sure to grow. The realty scene in Dubai property is moving towards a complete overhaul especially after the depression of 2008. Markets around the world were in a state of meltdown, hitting Dubai the worst, however, the overall scene today has certainly changed. New and ambitious projects are being launched with a special focus to the growing middle class families. Buying Dubai property is now a lot easier. Also, aiding these realty businessmen is the announcement of Dubai being chosen as the location for the Expo 2020. With this, there will be a huge rise in the number of world citizens entering Dubai.

A bubbling tourist destination, Dubai has made complete use of its resources and has even gone beyond to bring in expat population. It is definitely a city that has attracted people from around world. Rising job prospects and a better lifestyle are the key factors that drive the expat population here.
