Top-end Galaxy S III: quad-core processor enhanced by 2GB of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S III i9300 has now fully rolled out into different parts of the world. As the routines of Samsung, it will introduce out different variants for different markets. Of course, most of the variants have only very slight differences from each other. Samsung has launched a high-end version Galaxy S3 which is packed with Qualcomm S4 dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM in Japan, Canada and the USA, but it seems that there will be a top-end version of Samsung i9300 in its homegrown countries. The folks in South Korea will be able to see an enhanced version of Galaxy S3, which will have an elevated quad-core Exynos 4412 processors.
When the third-gen Galaxy S was first unveiled, the dual-core processor seems have to meet the expectation of those Samsung fans who have been so anticipated this phone since the previous rumors ahead of the unveiling of Galaxy S III itinerated that it would have a quad-core processor. It is taken for granted that a quad-core processor is a must if Samsung i9300 wants to compete with the new iPhone this year. Later, the rumors for quad-core Galaxy S III still prevail and now this has turned out truth.
Of course, there will be no changes in other hard ware except the bump of the processor, though the customers of other lands will grudge the unfair treatment. So the 4.8-inch HD display and the battery of 2,100 mAh remain the same. The top-end Galaxy S III will go exclusively on SK Telecom and will come out next month.
The elevation of processor is of course a good thing for the customers though the top version still takes time to arrive other parts of world. The competitiveness of Samsung i9300, whether you admit it or not, lies much in its high-end hard ware, though Samsung has devoted apparent efforts to enriching the apps and enhancing its soft power. But still, we can find a lot of Samsung accessories and Samsung replacement parts which can improve the performance and make up the drawbacks of the device.
