A headset consists of two main parts. One is headphone and another one is the microphone. The headphone is either single earpiece (mono) or double earpiece (stereo). Microphone in headsets usually has noise canceling feature in it. This feature resists surround sound from the environment. Wearing style of headsets may differ according to their headband styles. It could be over the head, back wear headsets or behind the headsets. There are two main connection types in computer headsets. It could be connected with standard 3.5mm jack or with USB connection. Headsets could be wired or wireless. Wireless headsets are usually connected with the required device through Bluetooth.  Technology in headsets is increasing day by day. Few upcoming headsets with the latest technology are discussed below.

They usually feature high-resolution OLED screens. No extra camera is needed in it as it consists of six degrees of freedom tracking system.

Sony MDR-1A is very comfortable and easy to wear headset. It has slightly angled earcups with soft padding and cushions. Its earcups can rotate in opposite directions so it is very comfortable to wear it around the neck when we are not listening to it. The weight of Sony MDR-1A is approx 225g without cable attached.  It comes with two 1.2 meter detachable cables. One cable has inline remote for smartphones. Beats X is fresh model that is designed with the help of Apple’s design and engineering teams. Its wearing style is neckband. Beats X has two wires running through it. Wires are made of nickel titanium alloy. It has lightweight magnetized buds with 8mm drivers installed in it. The sound quality of Beats X is very good. It provides smoother tonal balance with tighter bass.  Battery life of Beats X is approx 8 hours. Its light weight design allows us to wear it throughout the day. It is also water resistant headset. It pairs instantly with Apple devices.

Beyerdynamic T51i:

Beyerdynamic T51i is on-ear headset that is sturdily built and is very comfortable to wear. It has metallic hinged headband with easily foldable earcups. Earcups are padded with foam that fits on ear without applying too much pressure. It also features noise canceling microphone.  It is relatively light weight headset which weighs only 174g. One drawback of Beyerdynamic T51i is that its cord is not detachable. It has well designed carrying case with it. It has three buttons inline remote and microphone designed to work with tablets and Apple’s smartphone.
