Top Tanzania Safari Parks You Shouldn't Miss

by Aiden Goh Author

If you are ready to explore the wild side of this world, there is no place better than the untouched and unflooded safari parks in Tanzania, the land of the Big Five.

They have something to interest everyone whether it is the human evolution for the history-buffs or the Great Migration for the wildlife enthusiasts.

Here, we are going to take you through the tops safari parks in Tanzania that you should never miss out on when booking Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar Packages.

1. Serengeti National Park

Host to the hordes of birds and other migratory animals every year, Serengeti National Park proudly houses the most magnificent of all beasts. With diverse ecosystems in its lap, there is no dearth of flora and fauna which can leave you awestruck here. Plus, the park welcomes tourists of every age and thought every year to celebrate its abundance so you will not have any trouble finding good accommodation here.

2. Ngoro Ngoro Conservation Crater

Serving as the temporary home to the Big Five every year, Ngorongoro Conservation crater is the result of a volcanic eruption that took place millions of years ago, only to render the space as a unique ecosystem with forest mountains, lakes, tropical forests, and the mighty savannas. The 600 feet tall walls, even today, house the most alluring wildlife that you will ever come across.

3. Lake Manyara National Park

If you have booked Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Packages, there is no way you’re missing out on this alluring lake surrounded by wild vegetation you won’t see elsewhere. The stretch of the lake is approximately 50 kilometres and every inch of it is a sneak-peek into what the other National Parks in Tanzania have to offer from baboons, elephants, giraffes, hippos, antelopes, to gigantic wild buffalos.

4. Selous Game Reserve

Covering more than 50,000 sq. Kilometers of the country, Rufiji River is one of the major attractions of the Reserve as it aids a thick number of unique wildebeests and rare dogs for their survival. Also, you can spot the mighty wild buffalos here in huge numbers, even more than entire South Africa.

5. Tarangire National Park

Speaking of the ‘Road Less Travelled’ in Tanzania, Tarangire National Park falls a bit off-route and therefore skipped by a majority of tourists. However, those who visit the park are simply captivated by the sight of elephant families taking a mud bath in the monsoon season. And the lake in the park provides relief to the Big 5 and other animals in the dry season.

6. Ruaha National Park

The second largest park in Tanzania, Ruaha National Park is almost completely untouched probably because it is situated in the southernmost parts of the country. However, those few who have managed the courage to step foot here cannot stop singing glories of the park with an immense lion, wild dog, and elephant population.

There you have it! Now that you know the parks your Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Packages must include, plan a trip to Tanzania right away and you never know you might end up in a park when you can have it all to yourself!
