Top‌ ‌7‌ ‌Facts‌ ‌about‌ ‌love‌ ‌

by Teja Sahib Smart Glass

How many things do we know about love? We all know that those who have never loved have never been happy. But is it all? Why love sometimes rewards and sometimes punishes. Why some people are truly happy because of it, while others feel deeply depressed? But one thing is for sure, nothing else can affect our mood as love does. The Internet is full of various articles about love, and you may even find some great date ideas for winter. However, even the best scientist still can't fully understand and measure love. So, let's try to find some facts that can more or less reflect and explain love as a feeling.

1. Love is like cocaine

If scientists had known this before, maybe they had saved at least some poor teenagers. When scientists in their search for the true nature of love decided to do the brain tomography, they found out a very interesting thing. You see, the brain of a person in love looks very similar to the brain of a person on cocaine. This means that love affects our mood and behavior in pretty the same way as cocaine does.

2. Love is a way to survive

People are very similar to animals. For example, some animals also form long-term “relationships”. Interestingly, they also have three stages of a romantic relationship: desire, hobby, and moral attachment. These stages help us to have long-term relationships and children. Thus, we can call love a survival mechanism.

3. love comes with its expiry date

Scientists have calculated that a feeling of love lasts a maximum of 3 years. In their opinion, it is just so much biological time that the father needs to give what is necessary to his offspring. Also, in their opinion, this period can be longer if there are any obstacles in front of the couple. For example, the distance. But I believe that love is not only physiology, a surge of endorphins. It is not even about children, but about the desire to be with your significant other.

4. Love is irrational

According to some scientists, love affects several zones of our brain. Some of those zones are responsible for rational decisions and negative emotions. Based on this data, we can say that love can really be the reason behind our irrational reactions to problems. However, this also means that instead of drinking antidepressants, one may fall in love. In this case, the positive effect will be even better.

5. Love may cause depression

If everything is so nice and love makes us feel happy, then why sometimes we feel depressed? After all, sometimes lovers have such depressions that lead to truly terrifying consequences. It was because of love that people committed many murders and suicides. This happens because lovers become dependent on each other. Therefore, when one partner suffers from emotional pain, the other one will suffer from this pain too. Plus, sometimes, we may feel depressed due to some actions of our lovers.

6. Love is an addiction

Scientists thought for a long time and concluded how to treat unrequited love. If love in its effect on the body is similar to cocaine, then it must be treated in the same way as we treat addicts. To heal from unrequited love faster, you should remove all reminders. In other words, you should throw away or give away everything that reminds you of your loved one and your relationship with him or her. Besides, do something radically new to change your life.

7. Love can inspire

Needless to say that love always serves as inspiration. People who are happy in love, can and want to do everything for the sake of their love and happiness. They create masterpieces, build brilliant buildings, and achieve incredible things. In turn, people who suffer from unrequited love also create masterpieces, build buildings, and have fabulous achievements.
