Cleaning carpet is something you should not try by yourself, especially when you don’t have much knowledge about the procedure.

Apart from the fact that it is back-breaking, it also needs some special techniques and tools to do it correctly.

Though it is better to leave it up to professionals of Carpet Cleaning Chelmsford, knowing about the methods can help you decide which one to hire. There are a number of methods for cleaning a carpet. Here are the top five of them.

Hot Water Extraction Cleaning: Also known as steam cleaning, this cleaning method includes the application of chemical reagent to liquefy the soil and oil-based substances present in the carpet. The water used for washing is heated up to 150° Celsius for 500% better cleaning and several machines and tools are used for the extraction. However, the carpet takes a relatively long drying time in this process.

Dry Cleaning: This is the latest and most popular method so far. In this process, a special powder is mixed with a safe-to-use solvent and is sprinkled onto the carpet. A machine fitted with counter-rotating brushes is used to bring out dust from the fiber of the carpet and then cleaned up with a vacuum cleaner.

Encapsulation Cleaning: This is also a dry method. The process involves the use of synthetic detergents the base, which allows the chemical to isolate the dirt. Then a rotating brush is used to saturate the dirt and cleaned later with a vacuum cleaner.

Bonnet Cleaning: This carpet cleaning process is used in hotels or busy offices as it cleans only the upper surface of the carpet. In this process, high-moisturized equipment along with an absorbent pad dipped in a cleaning agent is used. However, this method is not suggested for deep cleaning.

Shampoo Cleaning: For being able to remove almost all the dirt, dust, germ and soil out of the carpet, it is one of the most commonly used methods by professionals all around the world. The process starts by applying cleaning shampoo and scrub with moisture brushes. This generates foam which attracts the dust. Later, the carpet is heavily vacuumed to remove the dirt and leftover shampoo.
