Top 3 Italian Cities

Travelling to Italy is a dream of people all over the world simply because this historic country is gifted with the most tantalising monuments, mouth-watering food, exotic wines and many more things. After thorough research on the best places to visit in Europe, I settled with Italy as the positive feedback of Veena World’s European Glimpse package tour sounded truly fascinating. The trip has led to a never-ending love among the visitors for its people and culture. So, if you plan to vacation in this European treasure any time soon, these top 3 tourist cities should not be missed out:

1. Explore the Wonders of the Capital

Rome is a city which is just at it is picturised in the movies - delightfully fresh and enchanting. The first thing that you should do in Rome is indulge in a traditional Italian meal in Trastevere, which is an area laden with restaurants and bars. Visiting the Colosseum is a must when in Rome as the gigantic monument is mesmerising to say the least. You can book a guided tour online to save up on a few bucks and avoid long queues at the entry. Trevi Fountain is the next destination situated very close to the Colosseum where you can toss a coin and hope to visit Rome in your life again. If luck has it, maybe you will!

2. Get Enraptured by World’s Smallest Country - Vatican City

Although Vatican City happens to be a part of Rome, its sovereignty and unique cultural atmosphere requires a full day of touring around popular tourist spots like St. Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel (even if you aren’t a Dan Brown fan). The sheer grandeur that can be seen in the architecture of these places is not to be missed. Alongside this, St. Peter’s Square or Piazza San Pietro is another spot to explore within the walls of Vatican from where the Pope sends out his blessings.

3. Embark on a Historical Journey

An Italian vacation without visiting Florence is like knowing a person without a soul. The city of Florence is best known for its art galleries and monuments like Galleria dell Accademia, Piazza del Duomo and the like where the brilliance of Michelangelo can be seen in all its glory. For shopping, you can visit Pento Vecchio and Mercato Centrale to buy fine jewellery, souvenirs, leather products, etc. This city was highly recommended in the feedback reviews of Veena World’s package tours and I made sure that I didn’t skip it as every street corner is a work of art here.
