Leather bags made in Italy is not an exception and it is in fact even more disheartening to look at with any stain or discoloration. Here are some tips to help you clean your leather hand bag from any unwanted stain.

In order to ensure that your bag is not subjected to any kind of grease or stain, you need to make sure that it is properly cared for. Use a protection treatment or cream every two months to ensure that the bag doesn’t stain easily. Wipe down the exterior leather with clean cloth so that any moisture or dirt is removed from the leather.

Ø  Use warm water mixed with soap and gently wipes down the leather at least once in every week. This way, any dirt particle sticking to the exterior will get removed. Remember to use a mild soap.

Ø  When you are wiping down the bag with damp cloth, make sure that you wipe along the grains so that the leather remains intact. Wiping against the grain will ruin it.

Ø  Baby wipes or other tissues or vinegar are not safe to use on leather. These can easily discolor the leather bag and cause them to lose its sheen. Also there are chances of grease building up when you use any home based remedies.

Ø  If your hand bag gets in touch with ink, then you need to get into action immediately. If possible, check a professional to help with cleaning the ink. Ø  Use the cover given with the hand bag for storage and try not to take light colored handbags with dark clothes. This can cause the dark color to transfer to the handbag. And it is not easy to remove.
