by RAJ KAMAL Technology, Travel,Health & MedicalAh, what a mysterious thing these forests are! Every individual wants to ponder the mysteries of the forest thus making forest activities like hiking, camping, walking in the forest, etc very popular in today's date. Especially during the pandemic, people have started choosing outdoor activities over luxurious places making the demand for forest activities ever higher. But the point to be noted is that forests are not only mesmerizing but also dangerous as they are the habitat of some of the deadliest animals. Hence, you should perceive all the pros and cons before packing your bags. Some of the precautionary measures that you can follow for your safety have been mentioned below:
● SETTING UP THE CAMP:
Want to make your trip a memorable one? Then make sure to find yourself the best spot to set up the camp. Go for places that are flat, dry, and provide proper ventilation. Try not to compromise with the view.
● NEVER TRAVEL ALONE:
I am very sure that in case some mishap occurs, you wouldn’t want to face these elements alone, do you? Hence, always make sure to travel along with a companion. It will make your journey more convenient as you will have someone to share the load with. Do keep in mind to inform any of your family members or friends about the trip, the duration of the journey, route, etc.
● LOOK FOR ANIDERS:
The extreme loss of forest cover at an alarming rate has always been a big issue. Usage of methods like electric fences would no longer suffice the purpose. At last, a device named ANIDERS was invented for forest safety. It works like a mechanized scarecrow and is widely used nowadays to keep the animals away. They are widely used to protect animal corridors. Hence, try to look for these and make sure not to cross the area ahead of that.
● CARRY USEFUL OBJECTS:
The invention of modern technological navigation devices has made the journey of travelers much easier than before. I’m very sure that some people might be wanting to experience the trail, but don’t you forget that danger lurks everywhere. You can carry devices like GPS that will help you navigate the road, your position, area, and trip distance. You should also carry a compass, map, smart stick, etc. Talking about first aid, make sure to learn the primary steps and carry at least the basics medications like sprain spray, bandage, antiseptic liquid, etc.
● CLOTHING:
“Comfort comes first” - the mantra of every experienced traveler. If you don’t want to be clogged up and suffocated during the trip, then never compromise with the clothing. Get yourself something loose for proper ventilation and according to the weather. Make sure not to wear bright colors as that might grab the attention of wild animals easily.
