It can sometimes be difficult to find a Kosher restaurant. It’s even more so when we're traveling. You spend hours on TripAdvisor, and you look through hundreds of websites to find a good place. And when you do, you find out that all they serve are some sub-standard falafel. But when you're on one of Kosher River Cruises Jewish trips, we'll make eating out so much easier for you. 

This new supermarket opened in 2018, and it is every Jewish traveler's paradise. It's a grocery dedicated to selling Kosher food. What could get better than that? If you'll be in Lisbon for a couple of days, best you stop by Portuel. Eating out three times a day, maybe even more, can get expensive when everything adds up. So stock up on your ingredients to make snacks for when you're back on the road. Also, if you're not in the mood to cook, they have pre-packaged meals that are not only delicious but also well plated. They also have fresh pastries and challah for pre-order.

Casa Du Lu can be found at Mercado Municipal De Vila do Conde, Loja N 35, Vila do Conde. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink and unwind this place is your best bet. There's wine for the adults and chocolate for the kids. One upside to this restaurant is that everything is locally sourced, so by eating here you promote sustainable tourism. And true to its name, it's like being at home. 

When BoLa Falafel closed in Porto, it disappointed many Jewish travelers because it was "the only Kosher restaurant" in Porto. Luckily, you can book a table at the Hotel de Music. They have Kosher options on the menu and request. The Hotel da Musica packages include a two-night stay with a kosher breakfast, two chef’s meals, and two bottles of kosher wine. The food being cooked is supervised by Rabbi Litvak.

Portugal is still developing its Kosher food market, the options may still be limited, but they are progressing.
