The VLP™ has a research-based, copyrighted curriculum that was developed by Dr. Kim Southwell, who holds a Ph.D. in reading and literacy. It was designed with the aim of improving your child’s reading and comprehension scores and grades, as well as building their confidence.
The Reading Ranch is different from other virtual teaching platforms in that the instructions delivered are research-based and the teaching approach multisensory. Additionally, students’ fluency is built using literature-based instruction and there are no worksheets or random quizzes.

The VLP™ caters to normal children who struggle to read, those who have dyslexic tendencies, as well as ELL/ESL students whose primary language is not English, and students looking for enrichment. The Reading Ranch limits its virtual classroom capacity to a maximum of two to three students.
The limited number of students per classroom ensures that every child’s progress is monitored and that adequate attention is given to each. Additionally, the learning environment is highly interactive, encouraging the input of both teacher and student.
