The scorching summer season is here. This is when the temperature soars high, the sun shines brighter, and you sweat profusely. Definitely not a great time to head out. But your work commitments and family obligations require you to step outside every now and then. This can worsen due to the dry summer wind that blows across India, known as ‘loo.’ To keep yourself safe from the heatwave, there are quite a few things that you can do. One of them is gulping down a massive glass of sherbet before heading out. Those fizzy and caffeinated drinks would not help you beat the heat, but this would. So, here are some refreshing drinks that should be a part of your summer routine:

Kokum Sherbet

Kokum is a fantastic tropical summer fruit with a uniquely sharp, tangy taste. Its sherbet is one of the best and most refreshing drinks you can have during the summer months. A cup full of kokum juice will beat the heat and prevent the risk of dehydration and heatstroke. Kokum is known for its cooling properties, making it a must-have during the summers. You can easily find kokum juice online or its pure unsweetened extract on Aazol, which can be diluted and used whenever needed.

Khus Sherbet

Khus sherbet is a green-coloured blend of khus syrup and water. Made from khus essence, sugar, and water, this sherbet is one of the best summer coolers. You can also replace sugar with liquid jaggery to further enhance its nutritional value. Khus is a fantastic ingredient and is a rich source of iron, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, manganese, proteins, carbohydrates, potassium, and B6 vitamins. Thus, this heavenly summer drink will not only quench your thirst but will also offer you a myriad of health benefits.

Sattu Sherbet

Sattu is yet another excellent source of protein, which is why it is known to be a powerhouse of energy. And since the scorching sun can easily drain you off, having a glass full of sattu sherbet will keep you energized all day long. It can also help eliminate the risk of dehydration and heatstroke. Moreover, sattu is also known to combat digestion-related constipation, acidity, flatulence, inflammation, and indigestion.

Conclusion

These sherbets can be well-referred to as magic potions that will help you fight against the soaring temperatures and the scorching sun. We hope that these drinks will help you survive this summer season comfortably.
