This Inglewood Restaurant Serves The Best BBQ And Briskets Near The Rams Stadium

A new barbeque restaurant was launched in Inglewood, California amid the development of the city, offering food, drinks, sports viewing, and music to locals and sports fans.

The Wood Urban Kitchen & Sports Lounge is a black-owned restaurant and sports lounge that specializes in Southern California-style beef briskets, barbeque chicken, spare ribs, and more, in addition to signature sides. It is one of the first new barbeque restaurants to launch in the area in years.

Its prices range from $18 to $27 for half pound rib tips and beef ribs. Hamburgers and turkey burgers start at $6, while chicken and brisket sandwiches with sides cost $10. Wings start at $8 for six pieces, and homemade desserts like cookies start at $1. Sweet potato pies and lemon cakes are also available at $6.

The restaurant has a laidback atmosphere ideal for meeting with friends and viewing major sporting events. Its lounge includes multiple large screen TVs, a DJ booth, high tables, black leather chairs, and white marble tables for large groups.

Located at the center of Inglewood at 129 N Market Street, the restaurant positions itself as the perfect upscale destination for people who want to eat and drink before or after seeing the Los Angeles Rams at the SoFi Stadium. It is also looking to serve sports fans heading to the future Clippers arena, which is slated to begin construction in 2021. 

The restaurant’s owner said that his vision was to create a classy lounge and a fun environment, where people of Inglewood and the general Los Angeles area can socialize and watch a game while enjoying delicious barbeque and drinks.

The establishment is also active in participating in local events. During the last Juneteenth Celebration, Wood Urban Kitchen & Sports Lounge handed out over 1,000 free meals to the surrounding community. 

Early reviews of the restaurant's offerings have been positive. On Yelp, one customer said, "The brisket was extremely tender and juicy and the beef link was delicious... I will definitely order again in the future."
