Sophia Clark stated that the series "Design In-Sights" aims to provide a platform for creative professionals, where they can share their stories and thoughts. These podcasts feature in-depth interviews that talk about their creative process and experiences.

In these interviews, you can learn about these artists’ "why" or purpose, inspirations, design style, career highlights, plans, and advice for budding designers.

The podcasts are interspersed with blog posts written by Ms. Clark herself. Topics of these blogs range from how-to articles to travelogues. For instance, one of her latest posts is an article about how to utilize texture to accentuate one's design style.

The blog series currently has a backlog of 13 episodes. The most recent of which is the interview with Amy Boyle, a veteran photographer and the founder of the 52 Phenomenal Women Project.

She also has interviews with Feng Shui expert Amanda Gibby Peters, Puerto Rican interior designer Shalmai Keim, graphic designer Chelsea Vaccaro, swimsuit brand founder Beli de Sousa, and more.

Ms. Clark graduated from Utah State University with a degree in interior design. She later obtained her master's degree in the same field in Florence, Italy.

According to her, her extensive travels have allowed her to discover a wide variety of cultures and designs that have enriched her own design skills. Ms. Clark would later establish Galiatea, a luxury brand offering furniture and accessories like throws and pillows handcrafted by under represented artisans globally.

Ms. Clark stated that her work seeks to redefine luxury by veering away from mainstream brands and instead focusing on artisans from small villages in Peru, Turkey, Laos, and countries with diverse ethnic groups. Her collection has been showcased at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Top Drawer in London, The Hotel Show Dubai, and other trade shows.

The creative design industries contributed $877.8 billion to the U.S. economy in 2017, which equated to about 4.5% of the GDP, according to the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies.

Discover what makes these creatives the best in their field. Keep your finger on the pulse of the creative industries by tuning in to "Design In-Sights"!
