Things you Need to Know About a DVD Duplication System

by Jack Mont Service

There was a time when DVD duplicator costed over thousands of dollars and it was a pricy accommodation only for the rich people. The CD DVD duplication system cost much less now, and they are more reliable, user-friendly and much faster and offer the similar fraction of performance but for a less amount. Much like the boom of the internet, the hardware technology also underwent a change and that lead to an increase in the duplication towers too. However, buying a DVD duplicator tower is totally different than buying a hardware computer.

The following are some points that will help you in knowing more about the DVD copy tower.

What is a duplicator or duplication tower?

If your desktop computer which is equipped with a CD or DVD writer, then it already is a 1-1 duplicator. Now, it is not like the traditional duplicators that comes with stacking of CDs and DVDs. When all the DVDs are stacked together in a vertical, they resemble the look of a tower and that is why duplication tower is required. DVD duplication tower is a standalone unit and does not require any sort of software to work. The software is embedded in the chip which drives the requirement.

Attributes you need to look for in a duplicator

This includes the media that you need to burn, the CD or the DVD to be duplicated in each run, the need for an internal caching disc. These are the most important things you need to look for in a DVD copy machine.

What is a difference between CD and DVD duplicators?

A CD duplicator can only burn CD-R or the CD-RW media. For a DVD duplicator, can burn both the Cd-R and the DVD-R. Now, it is possible to feel attracted to the DVD duplicator since it can burn both the CD and DVD platforms. Also, the speed of DVD duplicator is less than that of the CD duplicator. Hopefully with the coming times, there will be come changes in the tech and newer models will be welcomed.

What are the common configurations of the duplication towers?

The most common configurations are 1 to 3, 1 to 7, and 1 to 14. You can also witness 1 to 5 or 1 to 7 units are well. That’s a very impressive DVD system as well.

What is the internal cache drive and what does it do?

Although all the duplicators come with a direct reader, however, doing so will wear out the reader faster and the data transfer capability is less reliable. Also, the more the reader reads, the faster the optical head ages. So, make note of it.
