Things To Pack In Your Hospital Delivery Bag During This Pandemic

When everyone is sitting at home waiting for this pandemic to be over, it can be a very stressful situation if you need to go out of the house to give birth to your baby. It can be not only harmful to you but also for your baby and your birthing partner. In such case preparing for your baby beforehand can help a lot. Things like, getting a fetal health scan or visiting the gender scan clinic to confirm that there are no complications can make the birth process quite easy. You should also pack the hospital bag beforehand as you might need to take a lot of things to prevent getting infected.

All the medical records, pregnancy check-up reports of early scan and fetal health scan, everything should be filed beforehand and packed in the bag. Don’t leave any important documents and reports behind. Make sure to pack the IDs of both you and your partner. 

You will need something comfortable to wear after birth if you are not comfortable to wear hospital clothes during this time. You can also take such things that you can easily leave behind in the hospital as it is not wise to take them home with you. Include towels, tissues, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair ties, sanitary pads and moisturizer. 

Sure you might need to sanitize the electronics but that doesn’t mean you need to leave them behind. The birthing process can be quite lengthy and both of you will need these things. 

There are several things you will need to pack for your baby too. New baby clothes, a packet of diapers and wipes are the most essential. Your baby will need to covered well once you are discharged from the hospital. A blanket will come in handy as you cannot make your baby wear a mask.
