Things to know regarding Visa 489 for Australian Immigration

Skilled Regional visa 489 is the four years provisional visa where an applicant has to stay 4 years in the region of nomination. The criteria are to live at least 2 years in the region of nomination. After that, you can apply for Australia permanent residency visa.

1. You must be below 45 years of age.

2. You must score at least 65 points as per the Australian immigration point system.

3. You must have at least 2 years of work experience.

4. You must have good English language eligibility.

5. Your occupation must be listed in Regional occupation list of Australia.

6. You must have done your graduation.

7. You should not have any criminal records.

8. You must have good health and character certificate.

 

When you meet all the eligibility requirements for visa 489 as mentioned above, you can submit the application directly to the DIBP website. But make it sure you must have complete information about the Australia immigration process before applying for visa 489. 

Also, you must check the updated status for visa 489 until you are granted for visa 489. 

1. Check whether you meet all the eligibility requirements or not.

2. Lodge your EOI and be invited to apply.

3. Get the sponsorship by a relative living in a Designated are or nominated by a state or territory of Australia.

4. Meet the points eligibility marks set for 489 visas.

5. Pass Skills Assessment in an occupation on the relevant Skilled Occupations List

6. Wait for ITA.

7. After receiving the ITA, you have 60 days time period to apply for Australia PR.
