Tablets are wonderful gadgets which let you do everything you do on a computer. It is sleek, compact and easy to carry where ever you go. It is in fact designed like a Smartphone keeping in mind the size and weight. Tablets are fun gadgets with numerous entertainment options. However, there are certain important things to consider before investing in the right tablet.

Size and weight - Tablets are handheld devices and it is always good to go for a lightweight option. Anything bulky or too heavy may be too difficult to hold. But this should not compromise on the durability as there might be high chances of slippage or breakage.

Tablets size range typically from 7 inches up to 10 inches when measured diagonal. A bigger screen implies better viewing experience and comfortable browsing. On the other hand, smaller tablets are more portable and super easy to carry. In case, you are using the tablet just at home then the bigger tablet works just fine. But if you travel more and want to carry the tablet to all the places you go, smaller tablets would be a better choice.

Display or screen – The main interface of a tablet is its display or screen. Some of the major factors to consider here include resolution, brightness, viewing angles and coating.  The screen resolution decides how easy or hard it is to read text on the device. If you are watching a true HD video, a minimum of 720p resolution is required. If the tablet is viewed by more than one person from different angles then you should consider the viewing angle. If you are mostly out and need the tablet for entertainment purpose, then you should prioritize brightness. The brighter the screen, the better the viewing experience. Tablet coatings should be durable so that it does not show up any scratches and this makes it easy to clean too.

Software and Processor – You can choose different Operating systems for different purposes. If you are looking for something like a traditional PC, you can opt for Windows OS. If it is for gaming or entertainment purpose, iOS would be a better choice.  If it is for multitasking, a simple Android OS would be the best pick.

Apart from the clock speed and number of cores, you should check for other specifications like architecture and the chip, battery life etc. All this plays a major role when it comes to performance.

Storage Space – Tablets usually come with a lesser storage space when compared to laptops. Most of the tablets come with 8GB or 64GB and this space works just fine for browsing the web or reading e-books or for streaming on the web. But if you want to play high-end games or watch HD movies then it is best advised to get a higher capacity model. You can also choose the devices with expandable memory to make room for all your requirements. Tablet storage can also be enhanced with cloud storage but this is possible only when the tablet is connected to the internet.

Connectivity or Networking – Almost all tablets come with Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS capability. Tablets are similar to mobile devices and support two types of connectivity. One is Wi-Fi and the other is cellular or wireless. Wi-Fi is straight forward and you connect to local Wi-Fi networks. But ensure it supports 802.11n and 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. On the other hand, cellular is complicated and you got to consider carriers, contract rates, coverage and whether it is 3G or 4G network compatible. Bluetooth connectivity also helps in peer to peer connection.

Battery Life – Tablets can be carried throughout the day and hence, battery life plays a major role. The two standard ways to measure battery life is by consistent web browsing or by streaming nonstop videos. The latter may use more battery power and this may result in shorter video battery life. Even the heavy multitasking or gaming may result in shorter battery life. Ideal battery life should be 8 hours of video playback or web browsing.

Know the Purpose

If the main intention of Tablet is for playing high-end video games, then you need to look for a powerful processor with a minimum memory of 2GB and a good graphics card. If not, you do not really need a great processor for normal surfing, checking emails etc.

For whom are you buying?

If the Tablet is meant for adults, all of the above points should be considered. You can also consider the front camera or rear camera features for video chatting or recording. But if it is for your kids, then you should think about the price, durability and parental control features. It is always a good bet to choose a lower end model for kids and the size suitable for small hands. This will reduce the chances of breakage.

We strongly insist you check out Amazon to buy tablets with great super saving Amazon Offers. The enticing collection will for sure give you a cheerful shopping experience
