Things to be aware of human chorionic gonadotropin medication

by Richard Brody Richard Brody
Syncytiotrophoblastic cells of the placenta produce Human chorionic gonadotropin during the pregnancy. The hormone stimulates the corpus luteum phase in the uterus to produce progesterone to maintain the pregnancy.

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a chemical secreted by trophoblastic tissue found in the embryos, which will eventually form a part of the placenta. Measuring hCG levels in the body can be helpful in maintaining a normal pregnancy, pathologic pregnancy, and seems to be beneficial even after an aborted pregnancy. There are several positive effects of hCG that are found effective in cancers including choriocarcinoma and additional uterine malignancies.

hCG is injected under the skin or the muscle. But before that, you should be keep in mind certain things before the human chorionic gonadotropin medications -
Risk of blood clotting

hCG can risk the tendency of blood clots in humans. You can experience certain symptoms of a blood clot like warmth, numbness, redness or your arms and legs can have a tingling effect. There would be extreme dizziness and severe headache too. If these symptoms are visible you should contact your doctor immediately. There is a heavy risk of thromboembolism when injected with Human Chorionic Gonadotropic hormone.

Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome

Some women develop this condition after the first treatment cycle. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) can be a threat to life. If you have this syndrome you can develop symptoms like severe pelvic pain, swelling of hands and legs, abdomen pain and swells, respiratory problems diarrhea, nausea, and also less urination. Injection of hCG is a response to excess hormones. It is injected to stimulate the development of eggs. Ovarian hyperstimulation causes the swellings of the ovaries and this can be painful. OHSS can be a treated only if you reduce the doses of intravenous injection of this hormone and undergo paracentesis.

Causes early puberty in males

The human chorionic gonadotropin hormone is a major cause of precocious puberty in boys. The onset of puberty in girls is marked with the age of 8-13 and boys within the age of 9-14 years. But with the application of hCG, earlier onset of puberty is seen in boys. There is testicular enlargement in boys, pubic growth, and facial hair growth, deepening of the voice, and increased acne or sweating. Females can also have enlarged breasts at a very smaller age and accelerated body growth.

Risk of multiple pregnancies

Greater HCG levels injected in the blood can lead to multiple pregnancies. That means mothers have the chance of having twins, triplets, or quadruples.
Increased hCG levels are an indicator that the pregnancy might include twins. Increased nausea and fatigue are common in pregnancy but increases with levels of hCG. You can also have issues with molar pregnancies and miscalculation of the pregnancy dates.

You can buy hCG injection online only after you have consulted an endocrinologist. He will suggest you the correct dosage required for your body in order to maintain healthy puberty, healthy pregnancy, and for the better ovulation phases.
