These Black Hat SEO Techniques Could Be Destroying Your Sales

Black Hat SEO strategies could destroy your sales.

Since creating the first search engine, everyone has striven to be listed at the top. Marketers realized being the first to appear in any search terms a user typed into the search bar could increase their chances of connecting with that person and making a purchase.

Marketers began manipulating it. The marketers worked hard to identify the factors that drive ranking and then focused their efforts on that strategy. These techniques were used to create websites and sites for clients. Here's how black-hat SEO is designed.

Keyword Stuffing

Keywords are used to rank search engines. Early on, this was discovered. It was soon found that people created pages dedicated to specific keywords. It is logical that the more keywords a page has, the higher it will rank.

No More is Better

Have you ever seen a page where every word is a keyword? When you search for golf clubs on Google, every word appears is golf clubs. Ugh! This is not intended for readers. People don't want this kind of trust. Google has been making keyword stuffing illegal for a long time.

But people still need to try. Even sites that have an old strategy. Google might need to give it a better ranking. You will have to pay the price if you use it as a marketing tool for your business.

Paid Links

Link popularity can be used to achieve ranking purposes. Linking back to your website gives it more authority. This is true, especially if the website has high power.

This was also exploited. This was a great way to earn some money. They started selling links to your website that were paid. You got some "Google Love." Google has banned the scam.

Google still loves links. Google loves links. However, it prefers websites that link naturally to one another based on authority. You will be rewarded for writing an article with links to high-quality resources. Users will be penalized if they use the article as a tool for marketing.

How can you tell? Start by counting the links on a given page. This will result in dozens of random links. It doesn't matter whether it makes any sense.

Hidden text and links

It is similar to the keyword stuffing used in the old days. The goal was to place as many keywords as possible on a single page. Unscrupulous marketers would add them to the page by adding keywords in a paragraph and using the same background color. Google spiders will find and rank the page even though it is invisible to humans.

Google and people quickly noticed the benefits of this strategy, even though it worked for a short time. These pages didn't provide users with the information that they needed. Google removed the page because it did not match the searcher's expectations.

Cloaking

Have you ever clicked on a perfect search result only to be directed to a page that had no relevance? Google calls this a "sleepy" redirect. Google wants a good ranking for a specific search term, and they want the clicks to redirect to a webpage that makes them money. This is especially common in the mobile market. While a desktop might show one result, a smartphone may redirect you to a different URL.

The process is different from the expectations of the users. The users are unhappy because they have yet to get the expected results. Google does not want this. They will ban any cloaking techniques they discover. Black hat SEO is another tactic to avoid.

What are the penalties for Black Hat?

These black-hat techniques can cause your website to look unprofessional and users to leave your site. Google may also use these black-hat SEO techniques to make significant algorithmic changes.

Google may upgrade your website (Penguin or Panda), and you will receive a penalty. You will not appear in the search results of any keywords you searched.

Spiders are the first step. The algorithmic system crawls the internet and finds pages using black hat techniques. Humans then search the internet for missing results. They will be caught eventually.

Once a penalty has been imposed, your site will no longer be ranked in the top 10. You are unlikely to find it on the first results page. The search engine could obliterate it.

Google is all user experience. Google will love your website if users enjoy it.
