The way to stop diesel generating set

Starlight Power tell you how to stop the diesel generator set normally.

1. Gradually remove the load, and put all the electrical switches on the stop position, and all the adjustment knobs shall be reset to the corresponding position of stop.

2. After unloading, gradually reduce the speed of the diesel engine to 600r / min, and stop the engine according to the requirements of the instructions for use of the diesel engine. After shutdown, the feed pump shall be started to work for no more than two minutes, so as to supplement lubricating oil and heat dissipation in the high temperature area of the diesel engine.

3. For diesel genset with generator excitation switch, turn the excitation switch to the off position first after unloading, and then reduce the speed of the unit.

4. When the ambient temperature is lower than 5 ℃, the accumulated water in the water tank, water pump and diesel engine cooling system shall be completely drained after shutdown to prevent freezing. Adding antifreeze to cooling water is not subject to this limit. When the ambient temperature is lower than the engine oil freezing point, the engine oil should also be drained.

5. Clean the whole machine and prepare for the next start.
