Limiting the use of disposables: One of the easy ways to avoid exploitation of resources is by limiting the use of disposables like paper napkins, tissue rolls, plastic bottles, paper bags, etc. You can replace these products with reusable ones like glass bottles, reusable bags,etc.

The 3R’s of Environmental Awareness:Make kids focus on the 3R’s of Environmental Awareness, i.e. Reduce waste, Reuse resources, and Recycle materials.

Plantation Drive:Trees are the prime source of oxygen and air purification. By making the children aware of this fact, they can be trained to plant trees in their surroundings. Planting seeds on highways and outskirts is as good as planting trees on busy streets.

Waste Management:The amount of waste generated daily is another cause of environmental degradation. Segregation into wet and dry, composting, recycling etc. can help reduce the overall waste production.

Saving Electricity: Electricity generation leaves an environmental impact on our air, water, and even land. Let’s reduce the use of mobiles by creating simple rules like using it for games only for a specified duration, not using it after a particular time at night, etc. Another way is to switch off appliances and lights when not in use. This helps to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases as well as the emission of air pollutants.

Share the Learning: Every time children learn about environmentalism in school, allow them to experiment. Join them in such initiatives and show interest so that they gain great experiences which they would also like to share with others. This helps to enhance environmental awareness in society as well.

Children are filled with curiosity, and they express it through questions. Involve them in dealing with the concerns rather than keeping them in the dark.
