Malden are Melrose on the northern side, Stoneham on the northwestern side, Revere on the Eastern Side, Saugus on Northeastern and Everett on Southern side.

Malden is bordered by Melrose on the north, Stoneham on the northwest, Medford on the west, Everett on the south, Revere on the east, and Saugus on the northeast.

Points of Interest in Malden : For recreational activities in Malden City there are number of facilities like tennis courts, ball-fields, basketball courts and playgrounds. Apart from them, MacDonald Stadium with a 400 meter running track is also considered as very good place for recreational activities.

There is a Public Library, Converse Memorial Library, in Malden City which is located at 36 Salem Street which is also known as The Converse Memorial Building. This is the last of Richardson's library designs and one of his finest works. It was designated as a National Historic Landmark in the year 1987.

There is Waitt's Mountain, which also has a historic park and has the tallest point in Malden City, from here one can see the beautiful view of Skyline.

Another point of interest is public park, Pine Banks which is a 107.5-acre area spreader park. This Park located is located with the cities of Malden and Melrose, Massachusetts with equal representation from both cities.

Education System : As per the education system in city it has 5 public elementary & middle schools. one charter elementary, middle, and high school. One public high school & Catholic high school. One Catholic Pre-K through 8 schools; and one public preschool.“Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education”, the headquarters for Education Department is also situated in Malden City.
