The Race-Ready Ford Shelby GT350R-C Mustang
The Ford Motor Company has recently revealed their new baby, the 2016 Shelby GT350R-C Mustang—along with all its features. This name may be a mouthful to say, but the vehicle packs a punch and has many great specs. Dealers in Utah and elsewhere want get their hands on this work of art because it is going to sell like hotcakes.
A big selling point for Ford dealers and consumers alike is the fact that this model is race-ready, meaning it is stocked with all the necessary features and parts to work well on a race track or circuit in Utah or elsewhere.
This beast is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and don’t forget the iconic two stripes down the middle. It may look like a normal Mustang, but this vehicle runs more like a Formula-1 race car.
According to an article by CarScoops.com, the new Ford Shelby GT350R-C Mustang has “the same naturally aspirated 5.2-liter flat-plane crankshaft V8 powers the competition version of the Shelby GT350R.”
It seems as though this vehicle was built solely to race, but casual drivers are able to buy them from dealers as well. If you don’t race, the full power of this model will not be able to be unleashed, however, as the rules and laws of road in Utah and other places prohibit racing.
The article continues, “…the race car features an adapted version of the fully independent suspension from the GT350R. Modifications include revised spring rates and antiroll bars, lower ride height, unique track-tuned alignment settings, revised bushings and cross-axis ball joints in the front.”
There are two versions of the vehicle; the racing version was adjusted a bit to maximize its power and race-ability, while the normal version still has a lot of power but not too much to cause issues on the roads.
The model has a great deal of endurance, making racing an intense, but manageable experience. Lengthy races with drivers zigzagging in and out in tight quarters are always intense. However, these kinds of races are exactly what the new 2016 Shelby Mustang is bred to handle.
Ford Dealers in Utah and elsewhere would do well to have a few of these on hand. People will be coming for them.
