The Notice of Feed Pellet Mill When At Work

by Amisy Sophia clerk

Feed pellet mill is not only the ideal equipment for all kinds of breeding but also the key to process the high-quality feed. Therefore, it is very important to know the notices of feed pellet mill.

At present, at home and abroad, there are two kinds:the flat die and the ring die.

Flat die mills use a flat die with slots. The powder is introduced to the top of the die and as the die rotates a roller presses the powder through the holes in the die. A cutter on the other side of the die cuts the exposed pellet free from the die. While, in the ring die, there are radial slot throughout the die. Powder is fed into the inside of the die and spreaders evenly distribute the powder. Two rollers then compress the powder through the die holes. Two cutters are used to cut the pellets free from the outside of the die.

For using the feed pellet mill, we will give some suggestions.

1. Grinding before usage.

Because the mould pressure wheel of feed pellet mill belongs to heat-treated pieces, after working , the inner hole or the surface will have much burr, and then it can influence the quality of pellet. So it is necessary to grind before usage.

3. The toppings content and moisture in the raw materials.

In order to ensure the quality and yield, if we use the flat die machine to process the feed, the toppings content shouldn’t be more than 55%; not more than 80% for ring die. Because the higher toppings content is , the lower the output is. As a result, the input-output ratio will be in disorder and the production efficiency will lower. Due to toppings, we must add right amount of water (about 2-8%) in order to make the material thoroughly, uniform and process the feed quickly and reduce the dust content in feed pellet.

In a word, if you pay more attention to our suggestions, the service life of feed pellet mill will be prolonged. At the same time, the quality of feed pellet will become higher.
