Halong in northeast Vietnam is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is no shock that it has won so many accolades from important organisations all over the earth.
The Mystery and magic of Halong Bay
UNESCO added it onto their list of World Heritage Places and it was selected as one of the “7 Wonders of Nature”. Tatler and CNN also singled it out as one of the most beautiful and important holiday places.
As the Halong Bay has grown in popularity, so has the preponderance of boat tour firms, operating within the place. In top season nowadays, some 8,000 people daily will be cruising round this 600 square mile paradise, enjoying fine dining and luxury surroundings, whilst taking in the most remarkable views imaginable. The luxury on board these vessels is stunning. Amazingly decorated cabins with private balconies and en-suite facilities, greeting cruise boat passengers to their floating hotels.
The Halong Bay is best example of nature perfect work. 2,000 limestone islands, famous as Karsts, pepper the full bay, making different vistas at every turn. Sitting on the peak deck of a luxury cruise boat, after eating a wonderful dinner, sipping cocktail as the sun goes down. Some of the limestone islands are quite more than livable lumps of rock jutting skywards. Others, anyway, are full islands with their own ecosystems and domestic populations.
