London is a dream place for most people who like history because London is a very rich in history place. Wherever you go in London, you will encounter history and historical sites. Not only just history, London has a lot of other things too that are to see options when one traveller has gone to London. Modern art, food are a few other things that are a part of London along with the vast historical significance. But, most travellers are confused when it comes to when to visit and how to visit. Here is a guide given for you to be sure on what places to visit and at what time in no chronological order.

1.       The British Museum- Offering a free entry to the travellers and the visitors, the British museum is known for boasting of works of men from the prehistoric era to the modern times and that too from around the world. If you would want to know what the highlights of the museum are then it is to note that the museum includes the Rosetta stone, the Parthenon sculptures and the mummies that are in the Ancient Egypt Collection.

2.       The National Gallery- Again, offering a free entry to the travellers and the visitors, the National Gallery is the crowning glory of Trafalgar Square. It is packed with Western European paintings from the 13th century to the 19th century. This gallery is famous in the pages of the history for many reasons than one. It also features works by masters and noted men like Van Gogh and Da Vinci.

3.       Natural History Museum- Also offering a free entry to the travellers and the visitors, this history museum boasts of a collection of the world’s biggest and tallest animals. Not only are they biggest and tallest, they are also the rarest animals and aren’t much found in today’s time. You can see a life sized blue whale in the museum on one side whereas; you will also be able to see a 40 million year old spider on the other side. The beautiful Central hall is also one of the must see things in the museum.

4.       Tate Modern- Offering a free entry to the travellers and the visitors, the Tate Modern is also known as Britain’s national museum of modern and contemporary art. This might sound odd but this place was once a power station and that very fact has given the place its odd but unique shape. If you sit in any of the restaurants of the gallery, you would be able to get beautiful views across the city.

6.       The Science Museum- If you want to have an idea of how science has evolved in the last 300 years, the science museum is a must visit. The scientific advances are beautifully shown here. They offer free entry to any visitor but there are some exhibitions inside the museum that would require extra tickets for viewing. Apart from that, do not miss the IMAX cinema that is there inside the museum.

7.       The Victoria and Albert Museum- If you are a lover of art and design then you should not miss visiting the Victoria and Albert Museum. It boasts of having art and design with 3000 years’ worth of artifacts that have been collected from around the world. 8.       The National Maritime Museum- If you wish to see the historic Queen’s house, then the National Maritime Museum is a must visit. And you never know what you might encounter when you are inside it.

9.       The Tower of London- The epitome of history in London, you should not miss the Tower of London at any cost. It houses 900 years worth of history inside it and it is also a place where you get to visit the prison and the cells to see how it was back then. The Tower of London also lets the visitors gaze up at the White Tower and explore the bedchamber of the medieval king and you can also see the queen’s crown jewels.

10.   The Madame Tussauds- When it is said about London and its attractions, how can one forget the Madame Tussauds? It is the only place in the world you get to meet reputed legends all under one roof and that too 365 days a year and 366 days on a leap year. It is known for its wax statues and you will be able to see politicians, film stars, sportsmen and many of the leagues in them. You are also allowed to click pictures there and enjoy the whole time while you are there meeting and greeting the (wax) legends.
