The MH CET Medical 2015 Merit List

The MH CET Medical 2015 Merit List will be published by DMER at the official online web portal . Candidates who have appeared the exam can obtain the merit list by entering their roll no., name and date of birth and then by pressing submit. The official server may respond slowly due to heavy web traffic but eventually provides the merit list of MHT CET 2015. The MH CET Medical is a common entrance for admissions in MBBS, BDS, BAMS AND Bsc Nursing courses, which is conducted by the state of Maharashtra. The MH CET Medical examinations are now based on the Maharashtra state board syllabus, and this was confirmed by the Education Minister, Vinod Tadwe.
 
This year, the MH CET Medical scrapped the system of negative marking, thus this led in the increase in number of qualifiers, which is 26 percent. This year 20.8 percent of the candidates appeared qualified and the marks of the top qualifier was 199 out of 200. The qualified candidates can apply in various degrees in Health Science, such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, BP&O and BSc. Nursing and BUSc and AH courses. The MH CET was conducted in 507 centers and a total of 1.9 lakh candidates appeared. The merit list will be announced by June 12, 2015, in their official website. This year, according to an official announcement by the DMER, three questions for the Health Science courses were defective, and therefore the questions will not evaluated. The Board has decided to give three marks to everyone who appeared the exam, instead of reducing the maximum number of marks from 200 to 197.
 
Eligibility criteria for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses:


The candidates belonging to the open category must have a minimum score of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in the Common Entrance Test i.e. MH CET Medical 2015. Candidates belonging to the PWD reserved category must score a minimum of 40% marks i Physics, Chemistry and Physics in the MH CET 2015. While candidates belonging to the reserved category of PWD in General category must have a minimum score of 45% in the PCB taken together in the MH CET 2015.
 
For the admissions to BUMS, there is a requirement of additional criteria, which is, the candidates should have passed SSC or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Urdu or Persian or Arabic language as one of the subject.
 
In case of a tie in the MH CET Medical Merit List, there are certain procedures to break the tie, which are:

  • A candidate obtaining higher marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the MH CET Medical, shall be preferred, and if the tie still prevails then
  • A candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology in the MH CET Medical, shall be preferred, and again if the tie persists, then
  • A candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the MH CET Medical shall be preferred, and again if the tie persists, then
  • A candidate obtaining higher marks in SSC or equivalent exam will be preferred, and if the tie still persists, then
  • An older candidate will be preferred over a younger candidate.
 
After the announcement of the merit list, the selected candidates will be called to fulfill the preference of four centers, which are Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune, and on basis the selection procedure, the list will be displayed course wise and college wise on the official website.
 
One must remember that 15% seats are reserved in the State Government or Universities or other institutions providing the MBBS and BDS courses for the candidates who have qualified the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental test (AIPMT).
