In the current generation, the most versatile, extraordinarily talented is no doubt the one and only Arijit Singh. He is not only just a singer but a music composer and music producer also. Let’s take a look at his life and his songs.

Born to a Punjabi father and Bengali mother in the year 1987 in West Bengal, his music learning started at a very young age by his grandmother and one of his aunt and his mother. Since childhood, he was more inclined towards music than studies. He also got a scholarship in music from the government at the age of 9. He participated in a show called Fame Gurukul but got eliminated. Then he got a chance to sing a song for movie Saawariya but this song never got released.

Then he participated in another show 10 ke 10 le Gaye Dil, which he won. Then Tips music signed him for an album but his bad luck continued and that album never got released. With the money he won from the show, he set up his own small studio in Mumbai and started doing small freelancing projects but didn’t taste any success. Many times he thought of quitting and going back to his hometown but somehow every time he managed to convince himself not to give up.

Then for his survival in Mumbai, he started assisting music directors like Mithoon, Shankar- Ehsaan- Loy, Vishal- Shekhar, and Pritam. But it only happened when he was assisting Pritam that he started to produce music himself. His first break in the film industry as a singer came in the form of a song in a Telugu Movie called Kedi.He made his Bollywood debut with Murder 2’s song Phir Mohabbat. After that, he sang a Full Version of song Raabta Lyrics from the movie Agent Vinod. He also sang for movies like Barfi and Shanghai.

However, his major breakthrough came from the song Tum Hi Ho Lyrics from the movie Aashiqui 2 which made him a sensation and he tasted success and recognition. He also lent his voice to the encore version of the song Kabira. He also sang a duet song ‘Agar Tum Saath Ho Lyrics’ with Alka Yagnik, composed by his favorite composer A R Rahman for the movie Tamasha. Then he did the title track Khamoshiyan Lyrics for the movie Khamoshiyan and Baatein Ye Kabhi Na Lyrics from the same movie, after which he sang the title track of the movie ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani Lyrics’.

Arijit Singh was the key singer for the movie ‘Dilwale’ starring Shahrukh and Kajol, in which he lent his voice to two superhit songs namely ‘Gerua Lyrics' & 'Janam Janam Lyrics’. In the year 2016, he gave us some remarkable and amazing songs like ‘Bolna Lyrics’ from the movie Kapoor & Sons, Soch Na Sake Lyrics from the movie Airlift which became a rage and title track Sanam Re Lyrics for the movie ‘Sanam Re’.
