Moral & Values entail having integrity, conviction, a personal sense of what feels wrong and right. Knowing technically what is right or wrong is not the only consideration. In life, there are often grey areas which we could choose to negotiate and manage to suit us best. Being true to our own morals & values means standing firm and true to our conscience and belief code, even if it puts us at a disadvantage.

Let's look at some areas where moral & values are an important consideration:

#Promises can often be a factor in moral & values. We may sometimes make promises which are implied by our actions but even if they are non-verbal they still require respect and dedication. For some people, promises are about what they feel right supporting. People will often stand firm on their moral stance because it is an intrinsic part of their makeup.

#Children have no say in being born. We make a promise to our children by giving birth to them and keeping them in our lives. Similarly, by committing to a relationship with someone who has children we are also intrinsically making them a promise. Agreeing to take on even partial responsibility for someone else's children requires a moral commitment. They are part of the deal when we agree to become involved in the relationship.

#Vulnerable people, elderly relatives, people who are sick all deserve respect. Our moral values include regarding them as an important part of our society and as such, feeling some responsibility towards their care and support systems. Society as a whole has a duty of care to less able members of society and we, as individual members of society should feel committed to that being a right and proper path to follow. Our own family members also deserve to be cared for and safeguarded as they become older and less able. Morals & values are part of that mindset.

# Our employer is entitled to expect us to treat him with respect and regard. He is paying our wages and deserves loyalty and integrity in return. Some people may feel that turning up for work is enough. They do enough to get by, get paid, and feel fine about it. Other people have a strong moral compass and feel that they must do a good day's work and earn their pay. They may even flag up to management that they have not enough work to do or feel that they should be challenged more for their pay. Self-employed people are often acutely aware of the need to provide value for money. Being honest about what we provide and how much we charge is an important part of moral values.

#Money can affect moral & values. There are people who will do anything for money and may feel that they have little choice in their decision. Other people have different moral & values and their standards influence their decisions as to what they are prepared to do and who they will work for. Some people may look at a company's record on environmental issues, foreign trade, animal rights, and these can affect their choice of employer. Other people are less motivated by money and prefer to look at the value of the job in more altruistic ways.

#Our partner can expect us to have moral & values when we are in a committed relationship with them. Being loyal to them, how we behave with them, talk about them, are faithful to them all demonstrate our standards of morality and integrity. But if someone close to us breaks the law, does wrong then our moral & values can cause us a dilemma. Being true to what we feel is truly right often has to be respected.

#Personal presentation. For some people how the dress has a bearing on their sense of moral & values. They regard modesty and respect as being key, core values to be reflected in how they present themselves in public. They are aware of how their personal presentation reflects on them and also how other people and their sensibilities need to be considered too….Thank you...

Moral & values are about respecting ourselves, what we stand for, and also about considering the impact of our behavior, language, and actions on others. Taking those factors into account provides society with its inner strength and moral compass. Sometimes having strong moral values can require tough decisions and choices to be made, but that is part of living true to what we believe to be right...Thank you...
