The history of the mattress springs

by Jhon Harry Digital Marketing

Simmons is the inventor of the mattress springs, in 1870, making this product the oldest spring technology. Of course, the manufacturing techniques of this type of mattress have now evolved, and fortunately. The spring mattress is the oldest mattress of all the mattresses that have been created. The first spring mattress was very simple, and it was not until the year 1906 that the springs were bagged. The multi turns did not arrive until the end of the sixties. These spring mattress models are the most famous in the world.

In order to maximize their elasticity, the steel wires of the springs are then dipped in a hot mixture having a high carbon content. This makes it possible to increase the longevity of the springs. Spring mattresses are known for their longevity and flexibility.

This technology tends to disappear with the new really modern Singapore pocket spring mattress. However, manufacturers are dealing with this by incorporating their technology into latex mattresses etc. The spring mattress is also often classified in collector's items. The end of the history of the mattress spring has not yet arrived.

The different mattresses springs: biconical, multispire or bagged

There are different types of spring mattresses: conical spring mattresses, multi-turn spring mattresses and pocket spring mattresses.

The biconic spring mattress

This term refers to mattresses whose springs are not bagged. This mattress has a very high quality. Indeed, it is very soft and unbeatable at this level. Generally, manufacturers use thermal insulation for this type of mattress. Opt for a biconical spring mattress, it is to ensure to obtain a mattress of high quality and whose longevity is guaranteed. The bi-conical spring mattress is specially designed to provide support, softness and firmness to the user. He holds the foam mattress high and this will continue.

The multispire spring mattress

This multispire spring mattress is considered a modern mattress, thus using a rather recent technology. Regarding its manufacture, only one continuous steel wire is used. This allows to create a much more homogeneous spring. The multispire spring mattress has the advantage of being well ventilated. A large ventilation space is present in the heart of the mattress. All materials used are also intended to absorb air to promote better ventilation inside the product. This mattress is therefore recommended for people who sweat a lot during their night's sleep. Indeed, the multispire spring mattress is able to absorb up to 3 liters of sweat, without any problem. This product is however less durable than other types of spring mattresses (biconical and bagged).

Pocket spring mattress

Unlike conventional spring mattresses, this mattress has springs that are individually positioned in a sheath. Thanks to this new technology, the user will be able to have greater freedom of movement. Finally, each spring responds autonomously to the pressure that is exerted. Thanks to all its individual springs, the pocket spring mattress provides a better independence of sleeping. Indeed, it will be very rare that the person feels the movements of the other. This mattress also has the ability not to create too much pressure on the body of the person. Indeed, when the pressure is too great, we tend to return unconsciously.
