THE FUTURE ACCORDING TO MICROSOFT
What Is The Future of LinkedIn as a Part of Microsoft?
We find out today that Microsoft purchased LinkedIn for over $26 Billion and if we can believe the CEO of Microsoft we are to get the best of both worlds. He was on the news this morning saying that many people in LinkedIn also use Windows and now there will be a seamless merger of the two. I have only one comment on that:
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Those of us that are stars of the Internet have navigated through many challenges. XING & LinkedIn started at the same time and now LinkedIn has been an overwhelming success and XING is like a toy by comparison. Why? Because of 2 major differences in Germany and America. LinkedIn used only one dominant language = ENGLISH. XING tried to let each language be used which in many cases kept people apart rather than together as in LinkedIn. I am in the top 10% of Business Developers in LinkedIn. I am also married to Google. I use a chromebook on hardware built by HP. As a graduate of IBM I can tell you that anything built by HP is second only to IBM. Right after I bought one of the last PCs built by IBM in 2003, IBM sold to Lenova. Now One place where HP beats IBM is in pricing. Unlike IBM, HP wanted to serve all levels of computer users from a kid in high school to a Billionaire. Lenova is just about as expensive as IBM which cuts out 2/3 of the market.
SO WHAT ABOUT GOOGLE. You do not have to be a six figure success in business to see the difference between Microsoft and Google (now a division of Alphabet). The last time I checked, Chromebook is about 25% of the World Market. Microsoft was forced to bring out 360 which is cloud based in order to get back some of the business they lost as people adopted Chromebook.
I will keep you posted but I have no doubt that if LinkedIn is parked in the cloud of Microsoft it will catapult the entire computing industry at lightening speed to places that are just a dream today. One thing that surely will be added to this empire is Watson (more likely Watson wanna bees)

It will be the right price anyway, as far as I know nothing of quality is for free and good things will increase in price anyway.

I have been in Linkedin for a time now. I repeat your question HOW MUCH WILL HAVE TO PAY after Microsoft takeover?
