The Foam Mattress Pad
A foam mattress pad is a thick sheet which may be used for extra cushioning, to support bed, prevent from bed wetting, prevents soiling of the mattress by the person sleeping on it. These pads can be used in to protect the children and old sleepers who suffer from bedwetting.
The following are different types of foam mattress pads; they are,
Fitted mattress pad: These mattress pads are fitted on the to the top of the mattress and it is made not to move on the either site of the mattress when a person is sleeping on it.
Anchor mattress pad: They are only meant to cover the top of the foam mattress and the support is given by anchoring to the four corners of the bed with an elastic rubber band.
Memory foam mattress pad: They are similar to anchor pad but the cushion is made very comfortable. The pads look really thin and they make the sleeper very comfortable.
Egg crate mattress pad: They are manufactured in an oval shape; and are in cheaper in cost. Best suited for cushioning and makes the sleeper very comfortable even after bedwetting.
Down mattress pad: The upholstered beds are made of down feathers which provide the sleeper with extra softness to the sleeper.
Guaranteed to fit foam mattress pad: The pad is fitted to the mattress which can accommodate the variations in sizes. But only the side walls of the mattress is not covered.
Advantages: They prevent the sleeper with dampness when he/she suffer from bedwetting and other incontinence. They can provide comfort to the sleeper, however, the mattress may be. They are easy to clean and are very durable.
Disadvantages: If the mattress pad is not fixed to the mattress it may move around and disturbs the sleep.
