We bring you a reply to that article with those essential things to go to train. Bets are accepted before reading further, what are the five things you should take to the gym?

Not without my towel

It doesn't matter if you train in the room or if you do a collective class: the towel is a must whenever we go to the gym. Not only to wipe the sweat that many of us squirt across the forehead, but also as a hygiene measure when using the material we have at our disposal.

It is not pleasant to go to use a machine or a mat and find it stained by the sweat of the person who has been there before (I am starting to get chills just thinking about it ...), so we can minimize the risk using our own towel. Towel, of course, that must be of adequate size: one of the washbasin is fine, one of hands (very small) or beach (WTF?) Are out of place.

Hydrate with water

Especially if you are going to do an aerobic activity such as race, spinning or combat, the water bottle must be on your checklist before leaving for the gym. Hydrating before, during and after exercise is important to maintain a good level in training and to replenish the fluid we lose through sweating.

During exercise, water is the most appropriate: avoid drinks with sugar (if you are not going to run a marathon, you do not need to replenish glycogen), and those that contain mineral salts are better after training. Before you start, if you want an energy kick you can opt for a coffee alone. And, of course, avoid alcoholic beverages, both before and after.

Control your heart

A good heart rate monitor is another essential when training, especially if we are going to do cardiovascular work. Controlling our pulsations not only helps us not to exceed the intensity, but also allows us to control the training zone in which we find ourselves: if you want to stay within your area of fat burning , do not forget to control it with a heart rate monitor.

There is currently a huge range of heart rate monitors on the market. The most important thing is that your heart rate monitor is encoded, that is, that its signal does not mix with that of the companions you have nearby. Apart from this, you can opt for a more professional one with training zones, heart rate percentage, GPS and others, or for a simpler one that simply informs you of the pulsations in real time.

Girls (and some boys): pick your hair

I think one of the things that makes me more angry is to exercise with loose hair: it is annoying, with sweat you stick to your face and back, it gets dirty ... Anyway, a roll. Not to mention how unpleasant it is to walk through the gym and find someone else's hair on the floor (being doing abs and having a hair sticking to you that clearly isn't yours: yuck!).

Two or three hair bands in the gym bag, along with a few hairpins or a foam headband solve the problem. In addition, if someone asks you and you leave them (or give them away, that there is a crisis, but it is not so much) you will be eternally grateful and have made a new friend.

To train with sportswear

And here I include everything: mens gym clothing, suitable footwear for the activity you are going to do (it is not the same to do spinning than running on the belt) and clothes that allow you great freedom of movement. We have already presented different collections for next fall/winter, such as Adidas or Reebok, so you have a choice.

Above all it is important that it be clothes that you are comfortable with: it is not worth it to be stretching your shirt all the time while you run on the tape so that the tambourine covers you (invest in a longer shirt and focus on your training), or walk all the time lifting that strap that you drop while you are on the spinning bike (my advice is that you do not raise your handlebars, for safety).
