The First-Ever Cryptocurrency Airport Is On The Cards- Unkrypted

According to reports from local media Brisbane Airport (BNE) will soon turn out to be the first crypto-currency airport terminal. The airport is functioning with international and local companies to build the entire terminal crypto-currency friendly, with coffee shops, stores, and restaurants accepting Bitcoin, Ether, and Dash.

Travellers will soon be able to utilize virtual cash to pay bills in cafes and restaurants like Windmill & Co., Forte Espresso, and Spoon, as well as in nine “Awpl” stores in both terminals.

Awpl’s managing director Costa Kouros said

“WE ARE EXCITED TO BE A LAUNCH RETAILER IN THE WORLD’S FIRST DIGITAL CURRENCY FRIENDLY AIRPORT”

The step taken by the Brisbane airport towards the virtual currencies makes sense, as the number of crypto shareholders increases. According to Hellemons, the General Manager of Strategic Planning and Development at BAC

“Many people around the world have made money investing in crypto-currencies and a lot of these individuals travel globally, so it makes sense to propose a virtual currency experience within our terminals.”

Hellemons also stressed that BNE is the first international airport in the world to commence such venture. The cooperation with “Travelbybit” was established in order to implement it successfully. He admired the small Australian start-up for drawing attention towards Brisbane as a serious breeding ground of modern thinking.

BAC’s (Brisbane Airport Corporation) management insists that by launching crypto payments it plans to sponsor community projects and support local businesses.

BAC’s spokesperson stated

“THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, AS WE HOPE TO EXPAND THE VIRTUAL CURRENCY OPTION ACROSS THE BUSINESS.”

The shift highlights Australia’s rising affection toward crypto-currencies and virtual payment mode, regardless of the negative perception from other nations. With the recent prohibition from China and the threats from South Korea, this embracing policy from Australia will come as a welcome change for crypto shareholders.
