The Couture Show

Dziners, a name in the Goan market for affordable and stylish clothing conducted a fashion show called ‘The Couture Show’, which was a competition for young fashion designers of Goa.

The theme for the fashion show was Goa and 21 designers participated. The fashion show included five rounds i.e. monuments of Goa, flora and fauna of Goa, art and culture of Goa, dances of Goa and festivals of Goa.

The first place was awarded to Swena Eunica Gonsalves who won a cheque of 10,000 followed by Bernice Elga Pereira in second place who won a cheque of 5,000 and in third place was Namrata Kholamkar who won a cheque of 3,000. All three winners will also get a free shoot with fashion photographer Prasad Pankar with their garments that will be styled by fashion designer Monty Sally.

The show, coordinated by Rahila Khan, coincided with the opening of the third Dziners showroom, inaugurated by chairman, Mapusa Municipal Council Sandeep Falari. Organisers and partners Andrew David Fernandes and Mathew Kurien were the hosts for the evening.

All the male garments were conceptualised and designed by Drewsall Fernandes and brought to life by the staff of Dziners. Drewsall Fernandes also made her debut as a choreographer.
