Last Sunday I was with my friends. It'd been days since we had caught up with each-other. So we talked for hours and had great food and then hanged out on the streets of Hauzkhas village, filled with aromas and music and noises.

This one friend of mine was holding a pack of some snacks. Within 10 minutes or so, he gulped down all the content of the pack and just when he was about to do the very thing that has embedded in our DNAs in all these years, another friend shouted, and that frightened all of us. "Cannot you just behave like a man? Cannot you find a bin and throw this in that?" he was brimming with anger. We were like in a shock, but calmed her down. And we also ended up finding a bin for the empty pack.

Now let me come to the point that I want to make here and for that I told you this non-so-significant event that happened in my life: the point is people in India are taking cleanliness in public spaces very seriously.

Lesser and lesser number of people on roads and other public spaces are found spitting or throwing waste. And the credit goes to the government of India that put a lot of intelligence and efforts in devising and executive the clean India movement that resonated with the common folks of India very well.
