The City of Joy is Regaling in the Aura of HHI
In the last decade, there have been no hotels like the HHI
that has brought forth new features through its hotels in Kolkata, Varanasi, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar and Pune.
A global phenomenon across the world today is that of
constant innovation in hotel facilities resulting in the introduction of
completely unexpected ones. For example, 10 years ago, who would have thought
about a hotel consisting of restaurants whose menus contained food items that
are not cooked every day but resurrected!
Dinner and lunch times at any of the HHIs is a trip back
into history with food that ensures that guests experience nostalgia and even
visualize about royal grandeur with every single bite. Amidst the ambience of
modern-day facilities, guests have an enthralling time; however, they are also
able to experience the pleasure that Maibood Ali Pasha felt while having the
Murg Qurmay Ki Biryani.
The sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, Maibood Ali Pasha, was Asaf
Jah VI was the son of Afzal ad-Dawlah, Asaf Jah V Mir Tahniyath Ali Khan
Siddiqi. He was famous for his lavish lifestyle that featured an abundance of
everything that a human being requires to live. For example, the wardrobe of
Maibood Ali Pasha was the largest one in the world during his time and
comprised sherwanis, shirts, coats, collars, socks, shoes etc.
Therefore, it makes absolute sense to assume that the Nizam
had no dearth of luxury when it came to food! The kitchen present in the royal
palace created one culinary excellence after another with the Biryani being the
signature creation.
Further, the signature creation that Maibood Ali Pasha
preferred almost every day was often considered as a perfect example of the
traditional dum-style of Biryani associated with Hyderabad. Then, there was the
Bhuna Gosht, which was exactly what its name sounded like. This preparation
came with its set of ingredients that included cardamom, cumin, tomato puree,
cilantro leaves and lamb chops.
In addition to wonderful reasons to have a good time eating,
staying at any of the HHIs is an experience in itself. The rooms are furnished
with the most stylized décor present today and furnished with all the necessary
requirements for anyone travelling either on a holiday trip or on a business
trip.
As examples, HHI, Kolkata and HHI, Varanasi is noteworthy.
The former comprises a fantastic nightclub called Underground, a mythical
lounge-bar called VIRGOSE, a coffee shop called MYTHH and the restaurants
called Kalash and The Oriental Express.
The latter comprises state-of-the-art restaurants called
Aangan and Atrium Café and a fantastic bar called The Windsor Bar.
