  1. Kanpur - The most populous city in the state of Uttar Pradesh and an important industrial hubs in the town, Kanpur is located on the banks of river Ganga. The city was established by the Chandela Dynasty during the 10th and 13th centuries and became an important centre during the Indian industrial revolution.
