It is
estimated that an individual who obtains his or her bachelor's degree with earn
nearly $3 million dollars in a lifetime. This number varies based on region and
discipline, but those with college degrees often have the potential to earn 75%
more than those with a high school level education. With these numbers in mind,
it is widely understood that for most high school graduates attending a
University is an excellent way to prepare for the future. Obtaining a higher
education makes oneself marketable in his or her chosen career path.
Sarah Eller
is a sociology teacher from Wake County in North
Carolina. As an educator in a public high school,
Eller believes in cultivating an environment conducive for self-betterment and
the desire to learn. Helping to mold students into life, longer learners
creates the longing for higher education separate, but of equal importance to,

attire, and social gatherings such as happy hours. Many from this generation
also choose to study in disciplines of interest. This trend leads to higher job

Obtaining a
college degree can be highly beneficial over the course of a lifetime. The
community often benefits from a more highly educated workforce and the
