For the lubrication problem, a person can use over the account lubricants or devices and vibrators which may facilitate the blood flow on the genital. The studies are being done on how the use of phosphodiesterase inhibitors can help to treat arousal problems.

Interpersonal and psychological factors may impede sexual arousal. When a woman suffers this problem, the doctor has to identify first the interpersonal factors that affect the arousal and individual inhibitions. Therapy is meant to address the fear of being abandoned, having to lose control, and the feeling that the woman is not a title to sexual pleasure.

It is hard to treat persistent sexual arousal. There is a need to do a pelvic examination with the evaluation of the pharmaceutical, anatomical, neurological and hormonal contributions.  Duplex ultrasound can be done so that the doctor can be able to identify if there is any problem with the clitoral blood flow. In some cases, the doctor may try also anesthetizing gels, antiandrogenic, and antidepressants.  Since there is not yet any single cause of the Arousal issues that have been identified up to now, it is also hard to decide on single treatment.
