The 5 Most Common Car Issues and How to Fix Them

by Andrew Richardson allenstewart

A machine isn't built to last forever, and after years of being put through its paces in numerous environments, it's certain to fail. The same is true for automobiles; even though today's automobiles are as tough as they come, there are a variety of circumstances that might cause a vehicle to break down from time to time.

Let's look at five of the most frequent cars complaints and how to fix them.

1 - Battery that is dead or has been discharged

Your vehicle battery might go to sleep for a variety of reasons. A car with a dead or depleted battery is a relatively common problem. So, if you ever find yourself in a similar predicament with your automobile, you have two options:

You'll need a jumper wire and a donor automobile whose battery you'll use to charge your car to jump start it.

If you have access to a mechanic in the event of a car battery discharge, the best thing to do is have the battery removed, and the mechanic charges it to regain its full charge.

2 - The car is pulling to one side

You're driving along the highway or just returning from work, and after a while of driving in a straight path, you notice that your automobile is hurling itself towards the railing, and you have to use additional effort to keep your car straight. This is a known problem listed on car problems website.

3 - Overheating of the engine

If your car's temperature gauge turns red while driving and the engine overheats unexpectedly, it's almost clear that something is wrong with the cooling system. So, if your automobile is frequently overheating, check the coolant levels and maintain them up to date.

4 - Low fuel efficiency

Even though one of the key causes of your car's low fuel economy is aggressive driving, if your car's fuel economy is declining despite your efforts to be a good driver, it's time to have it serviced. Delays in automobile service can cause parts such as spark plugs, fuel injectors, air filters, etc. As a result, a full service of your automobile ensures that all such parts are cleaned or replaced and that your car's fuel efficiency is restored.

5 - Squealing Brakes

Squealing brakes are unpleasant and way more unsafe. This car complaint is typically caused by brake pads that have become worn. Over-speeding frequently means the brakes are engaged more than normal, resulting in increased brake pad wear. Hence as soon as you hear your brakes going all high pitched, get your brake pads replaced by your nearby car mechanic.
