Technical Specifications and Requirements of Diesel Generator in High Altitude Area

Power supply system of diesel generator:

A.Working conditions

1. The diesel generator is installed at the primary gravitational wave observation station in Ali area of Tibet at an altitude of 5250 meters and is used outdoors.

2. The ambient temperature is - 30℃~25 ℃.

3. Air pressure: 520~550HAP

4. The wind speed of the observation station is very high (7~8 strong wind), and the instantaneous wind speed can reach 40 m/s.

5. There are thunderstorms in summer and snow in winter. Pay attention to snow, rain, dust and lightning protection.

B.Purpose of equipment

1.Diesel generator unit supplies power for the original gravitational wave observation station in Ali. The total power of the observation station equipment is 250KW. Considering the altitude factor, the rated main power of a single diesel generator is not less than 500kW, standby power is not less than 550KW (400V/50Hz), three-phase four wire. The diesel generator is installed outdoors.

2.The installation position of diesel generator can be adjusted slightly according to the actual terrain. The generator is about 170 meters away from the observation station, 20 meters away from the cement road and 30 meters away from the oil tank.

C.Technical specifications and requirements

(1)General requirements

1. The diesel generator supplies power for the observation station for a long time and operates for about 300 days (24 hours) throughout the year to reduce the equipment failure rate and maintenance times. Operation mode: single machine operation.

Two automatic transfer switches (ATS) with dual power supply are provided, and the distribution box outputs two channels to supply power to two distribution boxes of the observation station (the electric power is 90kw and 160kW respectively). The generator is about 170m away from the two distribution boxes in the observation station. The seller is required to provide cable connection to the distribution box in the observation warehouse.

2. After receiving the self starting signal (power failure signal or remote control command), the diesel generator set shall be able to start automatically at low temperature (- 30 ℃), with a success rate of more than 99%.

3. For the main components, the capacity reduction of 5250 meters above sea level, the increase of insulation gap and the decrease of heat dissipation conditions must be considered.

4. It can be placed outdoors, designed to be windproof, rainproof, snowproof and dustproof, and can be lifted as a whole.

5.Silent diesel generator set, environmental protection, shock absorption, safety, etc.

6.It can monitor remote control, remote signal and telemetry signal. The diesel generator set can realize automatic control and manual operation, and the manual operation can intervene the whole process of automatic control at any time.

7.The supplier is responsible for the installation and debugging of the whole system. Package equipment, package installation, package construction, package labor, package materials, package machinery, package environmental protection design, package quality, package safety, package insurance, package acceptance, package information, etc.

8.Provide product instructions, precautions and maintenance instructions.

(2)Diesel generator

The supplier shall provide the outdoor box type silent diesel generator with the capacity required by the purchaser.

Note: the power of diesel generator set required by the purchaser refers to the main power, and the definition of generator power is as follows:

(1)Power definition: conform to ISO8528-1 definition and GB/T2820.1 main power and standby power calibration.

(2)Power correction: under working conditions, the power of the diesel generator set shall be corrected:

a)According to the provisions of GB/T6071, the rated power of the diesel engine shall be corrected according to the site environmental conditions;

b) The corrected diesel engine power is converted into electric power after considering the generator efficiency, modified power loss coefficient, transmission coefficient and other factors, which is the corrected diesel generator power. The actual power of diesel generator set shall not be lower than the correction value. Please list the power correction curve, detailed chart or calculation formula of diesel generator set above 1000m altitude, and provide them in the form of electronic and paper documents.

(3) The supplier shall provide outdoor box generator with main power over 500kW according to the requirements of this specification, and the material of silent cabinet shell can resist 40m/s strong wind.

(4) The model of diesel generator and diesel engine provided by the supplier for this project shall be unique.

(5)The diesel generator set is composed of the following parts: diesel engine, generator, starting device, control device, output device, automatic transfer switch (ATS), built-in 5M3 oil tank, chassis and static speaker. The technical requirements for final assembly of diesel generator set shall comply with JB/T7606. The weight and dimension of diesel generator set shall meet the requirements of product specification.

(6)The diesel engine shall adopt digital electronic speed regulation mode. Reference brands: Cummins, Perkins, MTU, Caterpillar or equivalent.

Please describe the speed regulation mode and fuel injection mode adopted by the diesel generator set, and briefly describe the principle and characteristics of the speed regulation mode and fuel injection mode.

(7)The generator shall be brushless excitation synchronous generator with permanent magnet excitation and digital voltage regulation. The generator shall be equipped with full damping winding. Reference brand: Stamford, Marathon, Leroy Somer or equivalent. The insulation grade shall not be lower than grade H and the protection grade shall be IP23.

(8)Complement devices of diesel generator set

The diesel generator set shall be equipped with exhaust pipe muffler, spring shock absorber, exhaust bellows (with flange joint), exhaust pipe elbow, steel structure base and other supporting devices. The diesel generator set shall also be equipped with a silent canopy cabinet suitable for outdoor environment. The supplier shall provide a set of original special tools for assembling and disassembling parts with the diesel generator set. The supplier shall provide the original engine oil and antifreeze at random to meet the requirements of commissioning and normal operation. If it is necessary to add antirust agent and other necessary content, it must also be included in the standard configuration, and the corresponding content shall be added in the technical proposal.
