This university was founded in 2002 under the name “Georgian Tax Academy”. It was only in 2012 that it changed its name to Tbilisi Open Teaching University or simply Tbilisi Open University. Admission Procedure in Tbilisi Open Teaching University for MD

 

Now that you have clarity on Tbilisi University, it’s time to learn how to get admission in it.

 

To get admission as an Indian student, you must be at least 17 years old  and have passed +2 from a recognized college with not less than 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. For students of reserved categories, it is 40%.

 

Also you have to appear for NEET examination and secure a good rank in it. Besides this, other examinations required are IELTS or TOEFL to gauge your English skills.

 

The admission process is as follows:

 

       Contact the program coordinator at the university requesting an application form. You should get the details from the official website.

       Fill out the form and gather all the relevant documents.

       Deposit the fees into the university’s bank account and get the receipt. Send everything to them via email.

       You’ll then be required to attend a Skype interview and online tests on natural sciences.

       If accepted, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will send you an accreditation letter followed by an invitation letter.

 

Now you just have to take care of the fees, expenses, and travel documents.

 

The duration of the course is 12 semesters and each semester involves 20 weeks. After completion, you can either opt for higher studies or a job as a junior clinician.
