She was the beauty queen not only in front of him but also in the eyes of various people including Shah Jahan’s other wives. When his beloved passed away the emperor shah Jahan became so gloomed that he almost remained a year out side the eyes of his publics.

It is told that when she was on her deathbed she requested Shah Jahan for their true symbol of love and promised him to build a beautiful monument after her death which he did later. This is the historical background about the genesis of Taj Mahal, symbolizing their true immortal love.
