Symptoms of Failing AC Sensors

by Sanjeev Yadav SEO Consultant
The evaporator temperature sensor is commonly found in various vehicles running on the road. Actually, it is an essential component of the vehicles’ AC system. It is used to detect and monitor the temperature of the evaporator of the AC system.

The sensor is normally installed straight on the evaporator or close to it, as it is used to properly regulate reasonable operating temperatures for the evaporator by monitoring its temperature. When the AC sensor detects a higher temperature approach, the AC system increases flow to accelerate cooling and on detecting the cool evaporator, it reduces flow to preserve power and also to prevent the evaporator from freezing. Any AC sensor manufacturer in Kerala keeps all these techniques in mind to produce a range of quality sensors for the better functioning of the AC system.

If any sensor fails or facing any problem running, it can hamper the functionality of the AC system and thus often AC malfunctions. Generally, a bad evaporator temperature sensor can show some symptoms as alerts for the driver to indicate some potential functional problems which need to get serviced.

1. No cold air coming out of the AC
Outgoing of no cold air from the AC system is one of the major symptoms that a potential problem has happened with the evaporator temperature sensor. If the AC sensor fails or is facing any problems running it will send the wrong signal to the AC system, and thus the system will be unable to deliver cold air.

2. Fluctuations in AC temperature
Another symptom of a malfunctioning AC sensor is fluctuation of temperatures from the AC system. Just similar to the previous point, on sending an inconsistent signal by the sensor to the evaporator, the AC temperature will behave unpredictably. It strains the compressor and the cooling system of AC.

3. AC compressor does not activate
The AC sensor activates and regulates the function of the compressor. Thus, when it fails to perform properly, it can inactivate the compressor totally. Actually, the AC sensor has a great role in the proper functioning of the AC system. So, when it faces any problem in performing normally, it troubles the whole AC system.

So, what should you do if you are feeling that the evaporator temperature sensor of your AC system is not functioning properly?

You should call a professional technician for diagnosis of the AC system as it may require a replacement of the AC sensor.
Calling a professional…
Of course, everyone tries some DIY methods to fix the sensor issues, but if still, the problems exist, you should call a professional. As only an expert HVAC contractor is able to find out exactly why the AC is making troubles. Maybe the sensor is perfectly fine and the problem is somewhere else which if not diagnosed in time, can damage the AC system!

There are a number of AC sensors supplier in India who also offer commercial and residential AC repair services as well. You can easily find their details on the internet. What is important is to call the right person on time to save your AC.
