Syllabus for NEST Scholarship 2016

The content, pattern and style of this test is similar to any other tests of objective type with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Fill-in-Blanks and Yes/No type of questions as, for example, in CET, CAT, GATE, GRE, TOEFL, etc. Thus, any books that prepare you for these tests will also help you for NEST

The Test Comprises of Five Sections as Given Below:

i) NEST-I: Physics & Chemistry (Class XI & XII - advanced level) or NEST-II: Technical Aptitude - Choose any One Group* A/B/C - 50 questions; 50 marks

ii) Mathematics OR Biology (Class XI & XII - advanced level) - 50 questions; 50 marks

iii) Verbal Aptitude (English Language) - 50 questions; 50 marks

iv) Logic Thinking (Reasoning): 25 quesitons; 25 marks

v) General Knowledge: 25 questions; 25 marks

**NEST-II candidates will choose any one group from the following:

A = Com/IT/Elex/Telecom/Elect/Instr.

B = Auto/Aeronaut/Mech/Prod/Bio-tech,

C = Civil/Cons/Arch/Bio-chem.

D = MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BDS
